I cannot sign in anymore using my Card and or QRCode

Symptoms 


When I attempt to Sign-in via NFC Card and or QRCODE, the Authentication process does not complete, it will not sign in and or send me my 2 Digit Microsoft Authenticator Code and it used to work fine!



If you have been successfully signing in using your NFC/Prox card or the HP Secure Authentication Mobile app via BLE or QR Code, but the sign-in is now failing, please try the following:


Solution


1. Try using another Printer: in case it is the Printer and or Reader.


2. If Using HP Secure Authentication Mobile App: Perform a reset to defaults and re-register the mobile app.


3. If Using NFC/Prox Card: Submit a support ticket and request a Card ID reset. Please provide your username. If you use multiple cards or a mix of the mobile app and cards, we will clear all entries since we cannot identify the card/mobile phone IDs as they are encrypted. You will need to re-register your cards and/or mobile app.
