When you register your HP Printer via Our Universal Print configuration settings page, or via the HP Console, the Printer obtains a Registration Certificate from Azure.
So How long does Universal Print Registration certificate live for before it has to be renewed?
As of August 2026
The device certificate expiration time is 10 years from the date of creation.
Microsoft have not published any renewal guidance yet, as they are still working with the Entra ID team to define the renewal process.
If you Uninstall and Re-install you would obtain a New Certificate anyway.
