Universal Print V2.4 - Released July 2024
Issue
- Under the Windows Universal Print Driver Advanced Print Settings, an option to add PIN-protected mode to your print Jobs and this does not function as expected.
Resolution
The issues will be resolved in next release.
Issue
- On some new Installs of Universal print, where you are using HP Command Centre to Auto Register your Printers into Azure, you may find that the printers do not start the Auto-Registration process within 10 minutes of receiving the configuration information, therefore you do not see them in your Azure Universal Print Portal.
Work Around
1. To help kick start the process, launch the Universal Print application from each device, you should see a Device registration required screen, if you do, then just close / exit and this will begin the auto-registration into Azure
2. Wait around 3 Minutes and then you should see your printers in your Azure Tenant, ready for them to be shared.
3. However if you do not see the Device registration screen and the application launches the HP Authentication Manager, then your printers have been registered in your Azure Portal and you should be ready to share the printer using the Azure Universal Print portal.
Issue
- We have found a bug in the method we use to Auto-enroll Printers when you select Direct Print, you may see duplicate Printer registrations in Azure Portal, with a Missing Printer Status Value, normally it should read "Ready"
Work Around
Manually Enroll Both Secure and or Direct Printers using the HP Console Method, and do not use HP Command Centre to Perform Auto-Enroll when you have a Mixture of Secure and or Direct Print, We apologies for the inconvenience and will be resolved in the next release.
Resolution
These issues will be resolved in next release.

Other Known Issues
Virtual Keyboard does not appear in any of the Apps Like OneDrive, SharePoint etc..
Issue

Resolution
Please enable Virtual Keyboard Option
This app has been disabled
Issue
- HP Command Centre seems to disable the application due to what it believes to be a Web Services issue. This issue seems to occur at the beginning of a Month as if you have not synchronized the printer to HP Command Centre, which is not the case.
- You may find that when you review the Printers Web Services, it may have a Connection issue, and this seems to contribute to the problem with Synchronization to HP Command Centre.
Work Around
Try to Disable and Re-Enable the Printer Web Services, and reboot the printer, and check if the Printer will Synchronize with HP Command Centre.
Else
Uninstall and re-install the offending application.
Resolution
It has been reported to HP support, however, please log your own HP Support Ticket and supply them with App logs and JDP Logs.
